Wutopia Lab is founded by the chief architect Yu-Ting in Shanghai, which is an architecture company based on a new paradigm of a complex system. Wutopia Lab regards Shanghai’s culture and lifestyle as a starting point, using architecture as a tool to promote sociological progress within building practice.

By digesting the physical properties of materials, the studio hoped to create a place that loses material texture and spatial orientation. The carbonate polymer material used in the “One person’s gallery” case was used in combination with light to create an experience of losing a sense of size and texture. Bubbles, colourless and transparent, will refract the rainbow and are fleeting and unpredictable, but kids love them. The kid’s restaurant should be a polycarbonate neverland.

In February this year, The Youkong Living Room designed by Wutopia for Vanke Midwest finished its construction in Chengdu’s Go Mall. After a 20-year development of the real estate, almost every Chinese citizen now lives in “Xiao Qu”, the Chinese name for the closed residential district. With highly similar space layouts, “Xiao Qu” creates nearly zero communal space for residents that it’s hard to create a community in such circumstance.

The Fairyland Premium Kids Café designed by Wutopia Lab is officially open to the public in Dalian. The brand is mutually owned by PACEE Education and Fairyland so that there will be shared resources from PACEE that the client wishes kids can enjoy learning with entertainment. This cafe will be the first educational family restaurant in China.

The Designer decided to build a space that completely belongs to kids, rather than using concrete figurative that many adults believe kids will prefer. Thanks to the restriction of the facade, an inner world was gained.
This cloud lamp is made in an innovative material, created by Circu, designed in several layers and fine coating with a fire retardant. Inside, it has a light and sound system are controlled by a mobile app (Ilight) or a remote with several options: choice of music, light effects, and sleep time.
The cloud lamp has an RGB light and speakers. The sound system can be controlled by a mobile app that connects with the cloud lamp by BlueTooth.
