Gachot Studios was founded in 2012 by interior designers John and Christine Gachot in New York. The duo has extensive experience in interior design, real estate, and art direction. They aim to achieve a sophisticated design with a strong sense of location. Their priorities were elegance and simplicity, as well as meticulous attention to detail.

This West Village Townhouse was constructed for a prominent fashion designer and his Instagram-famous bull terrier and was inspired by the client’s Haussmannian property in Paris.
This project, which was featured on the cover of Elle Decor’s Summer 2021 Issue, is a personal design project for GACHOT principals John and Christine Gachot, as well as their family. The Gachots aimed to honor the late architect’s vision while combining the ethos of the space with their own desire for modern yet friendly comfort when they moved into the landmarked Paul Rudolph penthouse on Beekman Place in Manhattan.
This historic Upper West Side home is all about form and light and was designed for a fastidious art-collecting couple. The customers’ major request was for Gachot to construct a gallery-like environment that would highlight their ever-growing and eclectic collection of art and design; Gachot aimed to fulfill this need while also creating a space that was human, textured, and liveable.
Gachot was engaged with the new owner for round two after building this loft for another family who subsequently outgrew the area. This iconic Soho loft is bathed in natural light from above.
Renovation of a three-story penthouse property in SoHo, New York, totaling 12,000 square feet. A former water tower has a screening room, spa, gym, wine room, outdoor hot tub, sky bar, and yoga studio.
While in NoHo, this property is designed in the typical uptown style, with spacious rooms and a strong sense of space.
The Naftali Group’s 42-unit luxury condominium complex on West 10th and Washington Streets. The structure was completely demolished and reconstructed. A gym, Pilates studio, rock wall, basketball court, golf simulator, kid’s art room, ping pong lounge, and steam rooms have all been added. Gachot designed all of the interiors, worked with BBB on the outside addition and collaborated with IF Studios on the branding.

“Three friends, three apartments, one Soho building,” says the narrator. This is one of three SoHo lofts built by Gachot for three friends, as shown in The New York Times. A concealed stairway connects each of the three lofts.
