The fauna and flora have been for ages a major inspiration for kids. The young ones get fascinated by the looks, colours, sounds and smells of these creatures. Even though we’ve never seen one in real life, dinosaurs play an important role in young children’s lives. Their ginormous size, scally bodies and scary looks allow kids to imagine a pre-historical fable where they are the mighty explorers in a world ruled by these (not so) gentle giants.
A green colour palette is really important here. Besides adding a Jurassic vibe to the decor, it also provides an Indiana Jones-like feeling once you enter the room. Try to find shades such as moss green and other darker and pastel hues.
Raw wood finishings are important as well in a theme like this one. Try and find some cool raw wood shelves to display all the little dinosaur toys and exploring gear.
Vintage wooden toys are perfect for this sort of decor. They are not only really fun to play with, but also they add that early-century colonial vibe that you’re looking for. You kill two dinosaurs with one stone!
As for the bed, we recommend the Tepee Bed by Circu. The teepee is a children’s tent bed inspired by the traditional indigenous tents. The Teepee Room has a playful design influenced by the Disney princess Pocahontas and her free-spirited and highly spiritual personality. Kids will be drawn to this room because of the sense of adventure that it inspires. Constructed from a solid oak veneer, both on the base, bed and storage, it is then supported by a 5-pole structure with a covering in synthetic leather, with peach skin texture.
