Born in the UK, and growing up in Paris and Monaco, she studied at Van Der Kelen Art Institute in Belgium and specialized in interior decoration. She opened up her own company in the principality in 1999. She has always been surrounded by amazing architecture, historical buildings, and the beauty of the indoor/outdoor lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur. Colors and landscapes inspire her to create schemes in textures and materials.
With her expertise and experience, she can deal with all aspects of a project according to each client’s specific requirements. While building a strong and close relationship with her clients, she guides them through the design process striving to make all her designs bespoke, unique, and luxurious.
Shelley re-designed this duplex apartment with bespoke noble and luxurious materials, she used stunning fabrics whilst always keeping in mind her clients’ desires and the fact they have three small children. A soft palette of taupe and cream shades combined with bronze metal and exotic wood whispers a warm and elegant ambiance.
Dolly Playhouse is a luxury kids’ bed specially made to ensure that kids have the ultimate fun in their bedrooms. Inspired by the infamous dollhouses, the Dolly Playhouse bed is a modern version of a kids’ playhouse, specially made for little ones who want their own little house adventure and have a full space to themselves.
The Power Elephant Rug was inspired by the unbelievable strength and power Elephants have. The rectangular shape and the use of light shades of grey make this luxury kids’ rug the ideal piece for any project because it fits perfectly with every color palette and theme. Cloud was designed to recreate the suspended particles in the atmosphere but with a more amusing character. Its asymmetrical shape is contoured by polished brass details that offer a dreamlike aesthetic to any furnishing. All in all, fluffy as cotton in the sky, the Cloud Drawer Handle will float seamlessly in any interior.
Fabulous furnishing and decoration throughout this contemporary duplex apartment in the heart of downtown Monaco. The brief from Shelley Walker’s clients was to keep a contemporary style using light colors to compliment the colorful modern art collection they had in mind once the project was completed.
Shelley Walker created a grey palette with different paint textures, wall decors, and original lighting so it would help define the special relationship my clients and their guests would have with the artwork. Alabaster coffee tables, silver metal Japanese blinds in the dining room, wool and silk custom-made carpets, and taffeta fabrics, all make this project unique and a blend between art and architecture.
Art deco full turn-key rooftop apartment in the heart of Monte Carlo.
The client’s only requirement was « Art Deco », the rest was ‘carte blanch to create a bijou home. It entailed a total renovation where we only kept the shape and the original ironwork staircases. Creating the design for the striking black and white marble floor and the geometric style doors was the start of Shelley Walker’s inspiration for this duplex. She chose light cream fabrics, and elegant touches of leopard and zebra.
Palissandre wood with an art deco design was introduced to compliment Shelley Walker’s clients’ extensive art collection from this period. The stylish master bedroom with its gorgeous fabric on the headboard and bespoke Parisien linen and the dressing table is reminiscent of the era of glamour, parties, and magic!
Shelley Walker used a luxurious 1920s palette and accessories all the way up to the rooftop terrace resulting in an exquisite and unusual apartment her clients had so desired.
