Raumkonzepte Peter Buchberger is based in the German city of Munich. Focusing on transparency and light, cross design, art and interior design, and the transformation of innovative, high-quality materials into new combinations. Peter began working for Heino Stamm Architects as a Creative Consultant in 1997, following his studies. Buchberger established his own firm, RKPB Interior Architecture, two years later.

The works of art blend harmoniously into the interior. The focus is not on the motif with its message, but on the effect of the entire ensemble – together with the wall design, textiles, classic furniture, floor, and ceiling. A total work of art, as spectacular as it is, it is also suitable for everyday use.
The Teepee is a children’s tent bed inspired by traditional indigenous tents. Kids will be drawn to this room because of the sense of adventure that it inspires. This creative bed is comfortable, cozy, and playful, featuring interactive design elements such as a remote-controlled light and sound system that can be controlled by a mobile app (or with remote control). The app has also an asleep assistant and you can choose the color intensity of the light and lighting effects.
The puristic villa with three floors and lots of exposed concrete and glass walls should keep its character. However, textiles, lighting, and modern wall design now give the rooms a softer, much more sensual touch.
The two-story apartment was designed to provide a stage for rare mid-century pieces. Due to the fact that it was a rental property, they played with colors rather than structurally altering the floor plan. The friendly silhouettes of the furniture immediately convey comfort in a subliminal way.

The former flat-roof bungalow from 1967 has been converted and expanded three times to date. Up until two years ago, it consisted of evolutionary structures: many materials, different floors, and everything permeated by the very classic and feminine taste of the previous owner.
Art as inspiration for the design: the painter Piet Mondrian was the inspiration for the colored ceiling surfaces. A mobile by Joan Miró inspired the carpet in the sofa group. The linen-silk mixture comes from Peter Buchberger’s first carpet collection. Wassily Kandinsky, Mark Rothko, and Donald Judd also served as sources of inspiration here.
Every room deserves to be treated like a front-row seat – no matter the size of its footprint. Those who design cleverly do not perceive narrowness, but rather a balanced sense of space.
From the outside, the house looks minimalistic and spacious, inside small rooms awaited us. So it was about making space. It was clear to me that this architecture could only coziness with modern means. This requires a desire for innovation and the joy of experimentation.
Inspired by the Jungle Book, the Mogli Playhouse was designed by using the elements and the wonders of nature. It’s a dream come true for kids who love the outdoors so much they wish to bring it inside.
